Family Fund
Description of the role:

Family Fund are looking for volunteers across Yorkshire to help spread the word about the work we do supporting families.
We are looking for volunteers to support Family Fund in a number of ways, we have lots of opportunities and when, how and where you volunteer is completely flexible to fit around your life. We are looking for parents and carers happy to blog and share their thoughts and experiences about raising children with additional needs, ambassadors who will spread the word about family fund in their local area at parent and carer events and fundraisers to help manage collection tins, speak to local community groups and schools and help with local events.

We will provide all the resources you need to volunteer, full training and a named staff contact.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Confident when dealing with members of the public
A professional, friendly and outgoing manner
Self-motivated and show initiative
A commitment to support the work of Family Fund and represent us in a positive way.
Willingness to follow Family Fund policies, including volunteering, health and safety, equality and diversity, and confidentiality
Clear and open communicator
Reliable and honest
Understand the challenges faced by families raising or living with a child with a disability, additional need or serious illness.

Other support
You will be provided with everything you will need to volunteer, out of pocket expenses, full training and induction that will be tailored to the role you are doing and access to an online volunteer space where you will find all the information you will need for your volunteering. All volunteers will also have a named staff contact who will support them with their volunteering.
