Ebay and Facebook Volunteers
Disability Action Yorkshire
Description of the role:

Here at Disability Action Yorkshire we have a dedicated social enterprise that sells pre-used, quality furniture to the public and also gives our learners a valuable opportunity for real-life work experience. We display all the pre-loved furniture in our brilliant showroom, located on Hornbeam Park, Harrogate. The showroom is open Monday-Friday 10.00am-4.00pm and Saturdays 10:00am-1.30pm. We also provide a friendly collection and delivery service, charged according to geographical location.

Disability Action Yorkshire relies on the generosity of the local community to donate the furniture items we sell. Some of the items donated would reach a higher sale price if advertised online and we need your help to support this vital income stream!

Key tasks include:

• Carrying out internet research into the potential value of items where required
• Photographing the item(s) to be listed
• Uploading images to the Disability Action Yorkshire ebay and Facebook accounts
• Writing accurate and compelling item descriptions to maximise number of views and bids
• Responding to queries from potential customers in a professional, timely and helpful manner
• Liaising with buyers about payment as required
• Arranging delivery once payment has been received
• Processing any returns or refunds as determined by your Line Manager
• Updating sales records in accordance with organisational processes
