Description of the role:

To assist in providing a safe and welcoming environment for our visitors at events and to work alongside our Café staff team.

To support our staff in setting up the event.

To assist with ticket checking and sales, bar work, food preparation and litter/glass collecting.

To support staff to clean and take down event.

You will benefit from:

Training in disability awareness is offered and the volunteer will report to the Centre Manager. The Centre Manager and Instructors will mentor the volunteer in the role and they will become an integral member of the team.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Flexibility and a willingness to get involved and help where required.

Ability to communicate and build relationships with a wide range of people.

Henshaws work across the North of England. In the Harrogate District the charity run a specialist college for you young people aged 16-25 years empowering them to live independently.

The Arts and Crafts Centre is open to the public and provides vocational training for adults with disabilities.

Local housing and support for people with disabilities to live independently in their own homes.
