Crossroads Care (Harrogate, Craven and York)
Description of the role:

Due to retirement, Crossroads Care Harrogate, Craven & York are seeking enthusiastic and forward-thinking individuals to join the management committee of our local and well-respected Charity.

Operating for over 25 years in the local area, Crossroads Care provides a regular short break service for those who care for sick or disabled loved ones at home. Registered with the Care Quality Commission, we provide personal care services as part of our package of care to allow those with the greatest of needs to be supported at home for longer. Many of our clients describe us as a “lifeline”, using their weekly break to go shopping, meet friends or simply use the time to get some rest.

Our current board consists of 5 trustees with collective experience of legal, health and finance matters. We are keen to diversify and increase our skills and knowledge base.

This is an exciting time to join Crossroads Care HCY, following a revised board and management structure and the development of a three-year business plan. Can you help us to further achieve our strategic direction? If so we would be keen to hear from you!

General trustee responsibilities include –
• To attend regular board meetings (at a time to suit all trustees)
• To contribute to sub-committee groups in an area of your expertise
• Ensure the governance and strategic management of Crossroads Care meets legislative requirements and is effective
• To work closely with and support the CEO and operational management team
