Description of the role:

A Co-ordinator is required to lead our present team. The person will identify opportunities for raising funds through trusts and grants and help arrange and organise fundraising activities such as flag day, coffee mornings and similar activities.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

No specific experience is necessary but we are looking for someone with enthusiasm to lead our current team of volunteers. They should be able to put together written applications for suitable grants and trusts. They should have the confidence to make approaches to such organisations and represent Harrogate Samaritans where necessary. They should have a creative mind to organise activities.

Practical information:

We offer induction training for all volunteers to understand what Samaritans do. The role is flexible and can largely be done from home. The team meet quarterly at the branch. However, more regular meetings will take place depending on what is in the calendar.
