St Gemma's Hospice
Description of the role:

We hold internal and external event such as fairs, walks, runs, collections and exhibitions every month and we need people to help make sure the events run smoothly! Help is required with jobs such as manning a stall, serving refreshments, being a marshal, selling raffle tickets, and signing participants in and out.

If you feel that you could spare the odd day, evening or couple of hours a month then we would love to hear from you! Once we have your details, we will contact you when we need your help.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

• To be polite, friendly and have good people skills
• Ability to work well within a small team
• Willingness and flexibility to undertake a range of practical duties and activities

Practical information:

We will send you an email once a month with details of upcoming fundraising events where we need volunteer help. You can then just let us know which events you are free for!

St Gemma's provide the best possible care and quality of life for local people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses – both at the Hospice and out in the community.

They offer care tailored to the needs of patients and their carers in the Hospice’s 32 bed In-Patient Unit, through the St Gemma’s community team and via day services, which includes a Day Hospice and Out-Patient Department. Care is provided free-of-charge and is open to patients of all beliefs, religions and cultures.
