Description of the role:

Based at the Visitor Centre you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors arriving at this World Heritage Site. You’ll be on hand to welcome visitors and share information about the estate and “what’s on today” to help them gain the most from their visit

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

This role will suite people who love meeting visitors. You’ll have an enthusiastic and friendly manner, enjoy meeting people, be keen to learn and passionate about historic buildings, conservation and the aims of the Trust. Knowledge of the local area would also be a great help.

Practical information:

Customer Information Assistants volunteers commit to a rota and normally volunteer at least once a fortnight. You’ll be expected to attend the following training: Two day Estate Induction; Service Promise training; Role specific training. Out-of-pocket travel costs between home and volunteering place will be paid up to a maximum of 40 miles, and other reasonable expenses agreed in advance.
