Description of the role:

Volunteers will be supporting Scuba Diving sessions for those with and without Special needs.

Our expertise is teaching scuba diving to those with special needs for example: Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Muscular Dystrophy, Downs, Syndrome, Aspergers, Sensory Impairments, Learning Difficulties, Spinal Injuries/Amputations, and able bodied. We teach both special needs and able bodied with no boundaries. All are welcome to enjoy the pleasure of Scuba Diving with us.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Volunteers must be qualified Scuba Divers.

Ideal for those wishing to have a go or do some more diving.

Practical information:

Scuba Diving Sessions:
- 'Special needs' pool sessions run on Wednesday evening’s 7.00-8.00pm.

- 'Try dive' sessions run on Sunday’s 12.00-1.00pm.

Organisation Information

Providing free and/or subsidised tuition in scuba diving to those with disabilities or those disadvantaged either socially or economically. The charity is based in Ripon and covers the Yorkshire area. Fully trained diving instructors teach people with and without disabilities. Meeting time: 12.00 noon – 1.00pm on Sundays and 7.00 – 8.00pm on Wednesday evenings
