Description of the role:

Paperworks provides pre-vocational training in print finishing for people with a learning or physical disability or mental health problems.

Paperworks helps prepare people for employment and integration into the community by providing real volunteer experience in a friendly and supportive environment. Trainees learn basic skills and provide print finishing packing services such as collating, stapling and envelope filling for various businesses.

Paperworks has developed enormously over the last couple of years and are now embarking on developing outreach projects for which we have had some level of funding.

We currently have a board of eight members and think that two more, would be of great value. Our skills at the moment include legal, accounting, HR, business, H&S and PR.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Very simply our requirements to strengthen our board at Paperworks include the following skills and experience:
- Accountancy/ treasurer
- Fundraising and/or grant writing bids
- Training
- Printing/technical expertise
- Public Sector, North Yorkshire or Leeds
