Description of the role:

We are looking for volunteers of any age to help us produce pre-recorded, thirty minute radio shows for Orchard Care Radio, a new radio station aimed to engage and interact with residents in the Group’s homes.

The equipment in our small studio in Harrogate is easy to use, and our friendly members of staff will support you to create and develop content that encourage reminiscence and increase social interaction between our residents.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

- Experience in radio/media setting/media course (Useful, but not vital)
- Clear and confident speaking voice
- Confident, friendly and approachable
- An interest in music from the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and classical
- An interesting experience/ history / job can make for great content

Support is provided by friendly staff at Orchard Care Homes Support Office, in Harrogate.
