Description of the role:

We carry out practical conservation work on nature reserves and local council land including: scrub clearance, tree planting, pond digging and footpath maintenance. Your role would be to work with and support adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues in carrying out these tasks.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Tools and training are provided - you bring enthusiasm and your own lunch! Practical skills are helpful, but not essential. Good communication skills, patience and a sense of humour are also useful. A basic level of fitness is required.

Practical information:

We meet at Community House in Harrogate on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10am and return at about 4pm, dropping people off at home if they prefer.
