10:00am to 2:00pm
Organiser:
Northern Powergrid and Relate
Address:

St Roberts Centre, 1-3 Robert St, Harrogate HG1 1HP

Description:

In partnership with the Bradford branch of Relate, the UK’s largest provider of relationship support, Northern Powergrid is hosting a number of workshops for professionals who work with people in vulnerable situations, with the aim of taking a comprehensive approach to addressing vulnerability, by recognising that emotional wellbeing and vulnerability are linked.

The aim is to help professionals understand the power and impact of talking therapy, to better understand when clients might be referred for counselling and how to use counselling techniques with clients, linking theory to practice. Overall, it aims to increase confidence in understanding and developing successful relationships with colleagues, customers and in one’s own life. There will also be practical advice about how to sign people up to the Priority Services Register.

The event is open to anyone working with vulnerable or potentially vulnerable clients and communities. This may include but is not limited to: Third sector organisations – charities, community and voluntary organisations, GP surgeries, Adult Social Services, Hospital discharge professionals, Fire and rescue, Parish Councillors, Councillors and MPs.

If you would like to attend, please book a free place by contacting leah.larkin@northernpowergrid.com or 07704074144

A light lunch will be served at 1.30pm when there will be some time for networking.
